Vineyards and Soils
The volcanic-origin soils of Tokaj-Hegyalja (rhyolite tuff, andesite, and in places loess) form the backbone of our wines. This mosaic of vineyard sites allows us to create balance and a distinctive voice in both sparkling and still wines.
MÁD | Mineral, taut, and structured wines; a subtle saline sensation on the finish.
TARCAL | Refined floral-fruit aromatics, with a rounder sense of acidity.
SZEGI | The proximity of the Bodrog brings a more humid microclimate; open on the nose, silky in texture.
SÁROSPATAK | Warmer exposures, a richer body, and riper fruit character.
Varieties and Style
FURMINT | The region’s flagship variety: vibrant acidity, minerality, and a long finish.
HÁRSLEVELŰ | Delicate floral notes and gentle spice, with a rounder texture.
MUSCAT LUNEL | Playful aromatics; elegant even in a dry style.
Tasting Experience
SPARKLING WINES | Bright acidity, fine bubbles, and a creamy texture; white-fleshed fruits, citrus, and a gentle touch of toasted seeds/nuts.
WINE: FURMINT | A mineral backbone, cool-toned fruit, and a saline finish; perfect with food or on its own.
WINE: MUSCAT LUNEL | Aromatically expressive, yet dry and balanced on the palate—an elegant aperitif and an exciting match for lighter dishes.
Winemaking
Tradition and precision
Our winemaking has been continuous since 2015. Our key focus is Zichy Anna méthode traditionnelle sparkling wines, crafted through the traditional process: gentle pressing, clean base wines, then bottle fermentation and long lees ageing for fine bubbles and a creamy texture. Dosage is always calibrated to preserve freshness and highlight each vineyard site’s character. Our Brut Nature and Brut Nature Prestige sparkling wines are blends of Furmint and Muscat, in a pure, dry style that emphasizes the effortless elegance of Tokaj grapes. Alongside sparkling wines, our still wines are driven by varietal character and fidelity to terroir.
Winemaking Philosophy
Hand harvest & parcel selection – we treat subtle differences within vineyard boundaries separately.
Gentle processing – whole-cluster pressing; slow fermentation in stainless steel and barrel, preserving varietal and terroir expression.
Lees ageing – fine-tuning texture and complexity in a protected, low-oxidation environment.
Purity and transparency – no loud technological “tricks”; our goal is a clean, timeless style.
Sustainability in the Vineyard
Tokaj’s vineyards are a living system—protecting them is part of our everyday decision-making:
Cover crops and inter-row vegetation to preserve soil life and retain moisture.
Targeted, measured plant protection, tailored to weather conditions and each site’s needs.
Supporting biodiversity, with an emphasis on handwork for uncompromising quality.
